Julie Ciaramella is the Web/New Media Writer at the AVMA. She’s a native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and a graduate of Duquesne University, where she earned an M.S. in Media Arts and Technology in 2011 and a B.A. in Journalism in 2007.
She’s worked as a newspaper reporter in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania, and more recently as the Website and Social Media Intern at Three Rivers Community Foundation, a non-profit in Pittsburgh that’s dedicated to social justice issues. She’s also worked in computer sales and can recommend you a good computer, although she’ll probably tell you to go with a Mac.
In her spare time, you can probably find her with a book, camera, or computer. She loves social media and pop culture, and she’s usually connected to at least one form of social media at all times.
